The Reform Call which embarked on a Sikkim Sudhar Sankalpa Yatra on 21st November 2022
has successfully completed its yatra in 5 districts of state (Namchi, Gaylshing, Soreng, Pakyong
and Gangtok) covering 2,480 kms while spending 29 days in the yatra till 21st December 2022.
The Sikkim Sudhar Sankalpa Yatra had participation of more than 1000 volunteers from all the
districts of Sikkim and mostly included young people within the age group of 21- 35 years of
age.

The Yatra received overwhelming support and were greeted with a warm welcome from people
at various places it reached in the course of the Yatra. During the course of our interactions
with the people, the Yatra received appreciation for the noble initiative to directly connect and
involve common people. The yatra provided opportunity to common people to engage in
constructive discussion on Sikkim’s political journey, democratic understanding, ideas and
thoughts with Reform Call before the launch of new political party in Sikkim. The people
shares firm faith and belief that such political exercise by Reform Call shall definitely fulfil
people aspirations and that the new political party under the banner of Reform Call shall be
people- centric and pro Sikkimese in its ideology and in action. The people also appreciated
the idea to initiate a pan- Sikkim yatra covering every village and towns of the state as it shall
give an in-depth knowledge and idea of the state of affairs and sought understandings on sociopolitical aspiration from a political party in a democratic set up.

The belief that Sikkim needs to undergo a reformative process in its political, social and
economic landscape has been further strengthened by the interaction and engagements that we
have had as part of Yatra. The message is crystal clear that people have started losing their
hope on the present dispensation where the entire political discourse is limited to corrupt
practices, hero-worshipping, mudslinging, character assassinations, victimisation, favouritism
etc. which people are done away and rejected outrightly.

The Sikkim Sudhar Sankalpa Yatra will resume its final leg of Yatra in Mangan District in the
first week of January 2023. The break has been necessitated due to the ongoing festive season
in the state of Sikkim.

We wish every citizen of Sikkim a very Happy Lossong, Namsoong, Christmas, Tamu Lochaar
and a very Happy New Year – 2023.

Spokesperson
