Training for officers and staff of IPR deptt begins; held at Soochna Bhawan

Training for officers and staff of the Information & Public Relations (IPR) department was held at the conference hall of Soochna Bhawan, today, October 19, 2022.

The training which is for three days began this morning and will cover the basics of the Sikkim Government Service Conduct Rules 1981 and Sikkim Financial Rules 1979. The Resource Persons for the training are the Deputy Secretary, Food & Civil Supply Department Miss Tripti Hangma Subba and Director of, Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Binod Sharma.

It may be mentioned that this was the first-of-it’s kind training in the department. A total number of 40 officers and staff attended the meeting.

The Secretary IPR Department, Sephora Targain stated that “Knowledge is power” and advised the gathering to be dutiful and true to their duties, adding that this training is one step forward to progress.

Subba gave a PowerPoint presentation on Administrative details begining right from how to initiate an official file, its progress and even administrative language and jargon. The session was interactive and Miss Subba answered all the queries put forth by those attending the training. She further shared her experiences as a government employee in various departments where she was posted. The training will conclude on 21.10.2022.
