Gangtok, June 14: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed delight and immense pride over India creating history by securing a place in the Guinness World Records through the successful completion of the 14-day free online yoga initiative organised by the Ministry of AYUSH.


In his message, the Chief Minister extended his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for his leadership in promoting yoga and wellness across the country. He also thanked the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the AYUSH Department, Government of Sikkim, for their efforts in organising and supporting the initiative.


Highlighting Sikkim’s contribution to the national achievement, the Chief Minister said that 10,005 participants from the State took part in the programme, reflecting Sikkim’s commitment to health, wellness and mindful living.


He conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Sikkim for their enthusiastic participation, stating that their involvement had brought pride to the State and strengthened the nationwide movement promoting yoga and holistic well-being.


The Chief Minister reiterated the State Government’s commitment to advancing the vision of “Har Ghar Yog” and promoting a culture of healthy living. He expressed confidence that collective efforts would continue to contribute towards building a healthier, happier and more prosperous India.
