“When I first got to know that I’d been nominated for this award, I was surprised and happy at the same time. Being selected as one of the Northeast Unsung Heroes, really means so much to me and I feel this is one of my great achievements that I am representing my State in the Northeast Region. I am receiving this award for my contributions towards societies.”

“My message to the people is, let us all help one another grow and contribute something to the society. To be a good human-being you don’t need to try and be hard on yourself, you don’t need to prove the World, just be good to yourself first and help others to seek goodness in themselves as well. When you stay humble, people will always recognize your works, and they will know you as a person, just be true and generous.” She added.

The first Northeast unsung heroes red carpet social award event was hosted by FIND Studios and Seil in Mumbai during the year 2019, where around 23 unsung heroes of 8 states of Northeast India were recognized for their silent contribution to the society in the presence of Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra.

The aphorism of this event is to not only recognize the silent contribution to the society in the field of ‘Social’ but also will help many others including people to rise further in coming days. Rebecca Changkija Sema, founder of the Northeast Unsung Heroes Red Carpet Award started the journey in the year 2018 followed by Sikkim as well in the same year with Sujata Pradhan co-organizer of Northeast unsung heroes red carpet social award.
