Namchi, 5th November: President of India Droupadi Murmu concluded her two-day maiden visit to Sikkim.
Present, during her departure at Namchi Helipad were Governor Ganga Prasad, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, his spouse Krishna Rai, Minister Tourism and Civil Aviation Department B.S. Pant, Minister of Women and Child Development Department Sanjit Kharel, MLAs, NMC Chairman, CS, DGP and senior officials of the State Government.
The president during her stay in Gangtok virtually launched several Central and State Government Projects.
She also laid the foundation stone for the National Institute of Technology, Khamdong, District Hospital, Singtam and other institutions.
In Namchi, she visited Siddheswara Dham and interacted with 30 women entrepreneurs from various Self Help Group who had displayed their stall at the prayer hall premises of the dham.
