Kalimpong district police in connection with Kalimpong PS Case No. 89/2023 IPC raids in hotels of   Sikkim and arrested four accused involved in the alleged attempt to outrage modesty of minor this morning.

The accused are charged with Under Section 341/ 325/354/354B/427/452/34 IPC

A written complaint was received on July 8 evening by Kalimpong police against four persons, namely, Saran Rai, Kishore Rai, Lachhuman Chhetri and Bikash Khawas, all of Lower Lamini Gaon, Chhota Bhalukhop, Bhalukhop GP, Kalimpong.

As per the Kalimpong police, “the accused rushed to the house with deadly weapons and drove away with small children and damaged his Bolero Vehicle bearing number WB 66 AB 0945 by use of stones and other weapons.”

“When his minor daughter, aged 16 years, tried to resist, the noted accused persons attempted to outrage her modesty, and assaulted her causing severe bleeding injuries on different parts of the body and tore her clothes.” Added the police report.
