Gangtok District Child Protection Unit rescues one minor aged about 5–6 years old of Kishanganj, Kamari, Bihar from Tadong Gangtok.


On March 21 a team led by Archana Sharma, Protection Officer DCPU, Gangtok under the direction of DCPO/Gangtok along with her team had rescued one minor child from one house located at Bahai School road, Tadong Gangtok.

As per Police report, “Upon enquiry, the minor child orally narrated that aunty beats her, and she hasn’t eaten anything since morning. Further, the informant called the alleged, who came and opened the lock and rescued her and thereafter the minor child was immediately taken to STNM hospital wherein she is admitted in the hospital”

Further, case under section 341/342/323 IPC in reference with section 75 of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 has been registered at Sadar Police station
