Sikkim: Two from Sikkim clears UPSC

Two from Sikkim clears UPSC exams, Tenzin Semkyi Ogen from Gangtok  ranked at 458 and Dipendra Adhikari from Tashiding at ranked 600. 

Tenzin Semkyi Ogen 26-year-old daughter of  Karma Choppel Bhutia and Kalsang Choden Bhutia of Forest colony, Gangtok East Sikkim.  Ogen did her schooling from Tashi Namgyal Academy ( 2014) and then did her graduation in Economics from Miranda College, New Delhi  

This was her third consecutive attempt in civil service.  

Speaking with Sikkim Chronicle she said “ I am not much stafisfied with the rank. However, I am waiting for the counselling”  

Dipendra Adhikari 28-year-old Son of Kapil Mani Sharma and Sharddha Devi Sharma hails from Tashiding West Sikkim. 

Adhikari studied in Government School in Tashiding while completing his schooling from Sir Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School in Gangtok in 2012. There after he studied Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand where he pursued civil engineering until his graduation in 2016.  

After returning back home to Sikkim, he secured the job designation of Assistant Engineer through the Sikkim Public Service Commission.

He was appointed in the Rural Development Department of the State in 2018.  

“it’s consistency and persistence that helped me crack the UPSC.” Stated Adhikari
