“Hindu-Boudh Sanatan Sabha held at Krishna Pranami Mangaldham, Namphing, South Sikkim, wherein, the meeting started with a provoking speech by Shri Tseten Tashi Bhutia followed by another speaker namely Yuva Acharya Abhay Das Maharaj had deliberately and with malicious intention of outraging the religious feelings of Christian community of Sikkim during his speech” reads the FIR copy
Furthermore, the complainants also allege Yuva Acharya Abhay Das of ‘promoting enmity between different groups on the ground of religio’n “He openly threatens “to take out all the Christians from Sikkim” and further stated that we, the Christians have a mission to convert people forcefully into Christianity and further stated that Christians of Sikkim have mission to convert Sikkim into State of Nagaland. The statement made by Yuva Acharya Abhay Das Maharaj hurts and offends our religious sentiments.Instead of preaching about his own religion, the said Yuva Acharya Abhay Das Maharaj had promoting enmity between different groups on the ground of religion, such provocation will cause disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious communities.”
The FIR was lodged at Temi police station on March 16, 2022
