Gyalshing, September 3 : District Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Gyalshing, Tenzing D Denzongpa, conducted a follow-up on-site inspection of the landslide-affected areas at Singlitam and Rimbi today to assess the ground situation and review ongoing relief, safety and restoration measures.
During the inspection, DC reviewed the restoration of road connectivity, which had been severely disrupted due to the landslide. Through coordinated and sustained efforts, the road was restored and made trafficable within a day, facilitating movement of commuters and local residents.

The restoration efforts involved the Roads and Bridges Department, Power Department, Forest Department, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Rescue Team of the 72nd Battalion SSB, Zilla and Gram Panchayat Members and local youth, who worked collectively on the ground to expedite restoration works.
The DC directed the concerned officials to maintain close coordination, continue monitoring vulnerable locations and households and ensure timely precautionary and response measures in the event of any further movement or emerging threat.
The District Administration continues to closely monitor the affected areas in coordination with all concerned departments and field-level authorities, with priority accorded to the safety of residents and restoration of essential connectivity and services.
