Two killed, One Injured in road accident at JN road

Two persons killed and one seriously injured in a road accident today afternoon at 10th mile, JN Road East Sikkim while coming back from Nathula East Sikkim.

The deseased has been identified as Aruna Chettri (27) from Martam East Sikkim and the other has been identified as Laxmi Lama(33) of Selep Tanki, Gangtok. Menawhile the driver Shamir Dewan(42) is critically injured and is currently under medical supervision at hospital.

According to the local police the Vechile bearing registation Number WB74-AZ-8476 (Blue Hyundai Venue) fell almost 1500ft below road. The reason for accident is yet to be ascertained.
