One Puran Karki (34) of south Sikkim has been arrested by local police on January 31 for assaulting his minor student.
As per the police report, “on January 31 at 1702 hours a written FIR was received from father of the minor stating that his minor daughter was sexually molested by Puran Karki on January 23, who is the tutor of his minor daughter.”
“Complainant further states that on January 23 at around 1720 hours the alleged person took the minor to nearby jungle at South Sikkim and molested. Since then the minor seemed to be mentally traumatized and on January 29 the minor narrated the entire story about the alleged incident to her parents”, states the police report
Further, the alleged Puran Karki has been arrested and has been booked under section 7/8 OF POCSO ACT 2012
