Sikkim Covid19: 344 new cases, 02 deaths Positivity rate at 28.1%

Sikkim reported 344 new positive cases taking the state’s cumulative count to 36765 cases, currently active cases tally stands at 2473.

A total of 307 COVID-19 patients recovered today taking the state’s cumulative tally of recovered cases to 33330. Likewise, The recovery rate to date stands at 92% and the Positivity rate at 28.1% . 02 deaths was reported, and the death toll stands at 421.

The East District recorded 200 new cases, the West District recorded 60, the South District recorded 69 and the north district recorded 15 new cases.

A total of 1226 samples were tested, 923 samples through Rapid Antigen Test RAT out of which 199 tested Covid-19 positive. 01 samples through TRUNAT/ CBNAAT out of which no positive case was reported and 302 tests through RT-PCR out of which 145 tested positive.
