Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba represented Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party in a meeting of the floor leaders of different political parties constituting National Democratic Alliance (NDA) which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting was also attended by Union Cabinet Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Prahlad Joshi, Piyush Goyal, Ram Meghwal and BJP national President J P Nadda.
During the course of discussion on behalf of the people of Sikkim, he thanked PM for all the support rendered during the time of covid pandemic. He also apprised the leader of the house regarding long pending demands of Sikkim, viz. (i) inclusion of leftout communities in the list of schedule tribe, (ii) reservation of seat for Limboo and Tamang Schedule tribes and (iii) HH 17th Karmapa Ugyen Trinley Dorje be allowed to visit Sikkim at the earliest. Since sikkim is a small state with lone members in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha he urged upon the NDA leadership to consider genuine demands of Sikkimese people and help prevail equality and justice.
