Five arrested in a violent clash between youths at Jorthang South Sikkim yesterday. As per the police report five miscreants namely Shital Chettri, Ajit Rai, Dorjay Tamang, Ashim Mukhya and Dinesh Chettri and has been booked under section 307/34 IPC (Attempt to Murder).


The said FIR was lodged by Roshan Kumar Pradhan resident of Jorthang on the same day
On January 28 at around 1700 hours written information was received from one Roshan Kumar Pradhan resident of Jorethang, South Sikkim stating on the same day at around 1300 hours one Pradeep Rai (Pappu) was badly beaten up by Shital Chettri, Ajit Rai, Dorjay Tamang, Ashim Mukhya and Dinesh Chettri near Amar hardware below Green Park at Jorethang, South Sikkim which resulted in severe head injuries in victim”


In the process Pradeep Rai (Pappu) of Daragaon Jorethang has been severely injured. He has sustained head injuries and has been referred to CRH, Gangtok. He is currently under medical supervision.
