PRESS RELEASE |

Entrepreneurs from all major local delivery startups of Sikkim representing Chitto, Dash, Uppai, Mitho, Let’s Local, Doco Poco, and others (virtually) held a fruitful meeting yesterday with Mr. Roshan Raj Shrestha, President, Sikkim Hotel & Restaurant Association.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss the future of the local on-demand delivery industry within Sikkim in regards to national billion-dollar players entering the markets and their well reported disruptive & anti-competitive practices.

We discussed the negative short-term and long-term impacts on local independent restaurants, local entrepreneurs, and other local stakeholders caused by such a massive disruption and the potential duopoly by national billion-dollar players.

We would like to thank Mr. Roshan Raj Shrestha for listening to our concerns and assuring complete support from the Sikkim Hotel & Restaurant Association and for supporting local entrepreneurship and local job-creation.
