The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has officially notified a new national highway—National Highway 210 (NH-210)—in the state of Sikkim, as per Gazette Notification No. S.O. 2631(E) dated June 13, 2025.
According to the Gazette published by the Government of India, NH-210 will commence from its junction with NH-710 near Melli Teesta Bridge and connect key locations such as Melli Bazar, Mamring, and Samardong, before terminating at its junction with NH-510 near Singtam.


The notification entrusts the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) with the responsibility for the development and maintenance of the entire stretch of NH-210 in Sikkim.
This newly notified highway is expected to improve intra-state connectivity in Sikkim, enhancing access to remote regions while facilitating smoother travel and transport across the southern and eastern parts of the state.
