Body of woman tourist found in hotel in Gangtok; Husband missing

A body of 27 years old woman was recovered from one hotel room situated in panihouse Gangtok today.

According to the police sources, “the woman has been identified as Rekha Singh from Chapra District of Bihar. Meanwhile, her husband Kumar Gyaneshwar (31) is still missing

The couple had checked in the hotel on December 27 and had booked room till December 30. “The couple had mentioned their relationship status as husband and wife. The duo was supposed to check out of the hotel today however even after several knocking to the door no one opened the door suspecting foul we informed the local police and came on the spot and recived the body on the bed” Said one of the hotel staff member

According to the hotel staff, the husband was last seen going out of hotel on December 28.

The Body of the deceased has been taken autopsy to STNM Sochaygang.

As per police sources the case is under investigation and the Bihar police has already been intimated.
