Block level health mela held at Temi Tarku: 459 patients takes benifit

Namchi, 19th April (IPR): A block level health mela was held at Temi Tarku, today. The camp was organized by the Health and Family Welfare Department as a part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ under the guidance of Health Ministry had a total of 459 patients.

It maybe mentioned that the Health Mela will be held at Ravangla on 20th April, at Melli and Namthang on 21st April and at Tokal-Bermiok and Jorethang on 22nd April, respectively.

The mela was inaugurated by Chairman Industrial Department Shri Man Bahadur Chettri alongside Temi Tea Garden Chairman Shri. Tashi Bhutia. Also present amongst othere were BDO (Temi) Shri. Prem Kumar Subba, Dr Kamala Pariyar (MO IC Temi), Dr Sudeep Pradhan (Medicine), Dr Tenzing Zigmi Bhutia (ENT), Dr Neelima Thatal (MO AYUSH), Dr Roshan Poudyal (Paediatric), IEC Team, NGO Tea Garden, Health staffs from Temi HWC and ASHAs & AWWs and other officials.

During, this mela free basic health care services and awareness of government schemes focussing on health benefits was also conducted. The medical professional also exhorted on management of various non-communicable diseases as well. Yoga, Meditation and other lifestyle practices were also imparted in achieving a more healthy and balanced life.
