Why is CM P.S.Golay silent ?
First the Government welcomes Acharya Abhay Das Maharaj and permits him to conduct a religious gathering knowing fully well that there would most likely be a provocative speech inciting communal disharmony by him knowing his background.
The Government should have issued strict guidelines to the organizers and the speakers about any hate speech directed towards other communities. After the speech by Acharya Abhay Das the Government has not taken any steps or action. Our CM has not even condemned it. Being the head of the state, he should make sure that the Sikkim remains peaceful and that no seeds of communal discord are allowed to spread.
Hamro sikkim condemns all hate speech made against our brothers and sisters of Christian faith in Sikkim. The people of Sikkim have always lived like one family and we should not let anyone divide us on lines of religion or community.
