Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gyalshing organised two days Skill Development Programme on Mass Production of Bio-Pesticides, Bio-fertilizers and Macrobials on 12th-13th Oct,2022 in collaboration with TRA, NBRR & DC, Nagarkata, West Bengal, CPGSAS & CAU(Imphal), Umiam, Meghalaya and ICAR-NBAIR, Bangalore.
It was attended by 40 participants from line departments, FPO Members, Progressive farmers, SMSs and field functionaries of both Agriculture and Horticulture Department.
The Resource Persons Dr. P. Dutta, Associate Professor, SCP, CPGSAS, CAU- Umiam, Dr. Richa Varshney, Scientist (SS), ICAR- NBAIR, Bangalore, Dr. A.K Pandey, Sr. Scientist, TRA, Nagrakata, W.B, Prof. D. Thakuria, SNRM, CPGSAS, CAU (Imphal), Umiam conducted hands-on training on mass production of entomopathogens viz. trichoderma, pseudomonas etc. and bacterial antagonists, maintenance of cultures, preparation of suspension for seed treatment, soil application, foliar spray, methods of field application, packaging, monitoring and quality control of bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers.
