The Tibetan community of Sikkim and Tibetans worldwide have extended their profound thanks to Rajya Sabha MP Shri Dorjee Tsering Lepcha for his unwavering support and bold remarks regarding the border issue.

Lepcha recently made a significant declaration, stating, “This border, from Arunachal Pradesh to Sikkim, is approximately 1400 kilometers. We refer to it as the China border. It is not the China border; it is the Tibet border. Because along the entire Line of Actual Control (LAC), there is no China, the entire area is Tibet.”

He urged that the border be officially recognized as the Tibet border, arguing that this change would eliminate the reference to China. Shri Lepcha has called on the government to direct all agencies, including the Army, GREF, BRO, and other Central Government-operated bodies, to use this designation.

The Tibetan community has expressed immense joy and pride in response to Lepcha’s statement.

“His support resonates with their ongoing efforts to highlight that Tibet was forcefully occupied by the Chinese regime and has always been an independent country” reads the press release issued jointly by
