Panchayat Elections: Nominations across 6 Districts of Sikkim

Panchayat ElectionNominations: Mangan District

On the second day of filing of nomination for the upcoming Panchayat elections for Gram Panchayats and Zilla Panchayats, 2022, two independent candidates i.e Mingma Lamu Lepcha, for Mola Ward, under Tingchem Chadey GPU and Gatuk Bhutia, for Tingchem Ward, under Tingchem Chadey GPU filed their nomination.

Few contesting candidates also collected the nomination forms from the office of the Returning Officer.The filing process of nomination is facilitated by six different teams led by DC/ Returning Officer Mangan, ADC Mangan, SDM Mangan, SDM Dzongu, SDM Chungthang and SDM Kabi.

Panchayat ElectionNominations: Pakyong District

The second day of filing for nominations witnessed 13 candidates nomination for Zilla Panchayat and Ward Panchayat for the upcoming Panchayat election from different wards of Pakyong District, today.A total of ten candidates filed for the nomination from various Wards and Zilla from Pakyong Block, one each from Duga Block, Rhenock Block and Parakha Block. The nomination was filed at the Office of Panchayat Returning Officers/ Assistant Returning Officers, Pakyong DAC.

5) Sarita Sewa for Ward Panchayat Pakyong Bazaar Ward, Pachey Territorial Constituency

6) Anup Rai for Ward Panchayat Rai Gaon Ward, Namcheybong GPU

7) Dhan Bahadur Chettri for Ward Panchayat Lower Bering Ward, Bering-Tareythang GPU

8)Anita Chettri for Ward Panchayat Bengthang Ward, Chalanthang Pacheykhani GPU

9) Palden Tamang Barpeepal Dara Ward, Taza GPU

10) Amla Devi Basnett for Zilla Panchayat Àmba Taza Territorial Constituency

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤:

1) Gayatri Rai Tek Ward, Latuk Barapthing GPU

Panchayat ElectionNominations: Soreng District

A total of six nominations were filed in the second day of filing for nominations under Soreng District for the upcoming Panchayat Elections.

The nomination process was carried out between 11am and 3pm under the supervision of the District Collector cum Election Returning Officer. Several candidates collected the nomination form during the stipulated time.

The nomination filing process is being facilitated by five different teams led by DC/Returning Officer Soreng, ADC Soreng, ADC (Development), SDM Soreng, and SDM (HQ) respectively. It may be mentioned that there are a total of 17 territorial constituencies and 200 Gram Panchayat Wards comprised in 36 GPUs under Soreng District.The last date of filing of nominations is 18th October, 2022.

Panchayat Election Nominations: Namchi District

On the second day of filing for nominations for the Panchayat Elections, 2022, 09 nominations for different Gram Panchayats Units were received. While, 03 nominations for different Zilla Panchayat Territorial Constituencies under Namchi District were also received, today.

It maybe mentioned that nominations for the ongoing Panchayat Elections will also be received on Sunday i.e. 16th October, 2022 from 11.00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Panchayat ElectionNominations: Gyalshing District

On the second day of filing nominations for the forthcoming Panchayat Elections 2022, a total of two independent candidates have filed their nominations for Zilla Territorial Constituency at the office of the Returning Officer and three independent candidates have filled their nominations for Gram Panchayat wards at the office of Assistant Returning Officer under Gyalshing District.

The nomination filing process is being facilitated by Six different teams led by DC/Returning Officer Gyalshing, ADC Gyalshing, ADC (Development), SDM (HQ), SDM Dentam and SDM Yuksam respectively. The last date of filing of nominations is 18th October, 2022.

Panchayat Election Nominations: Gangtok District

As per the schedule of the Panchayat Election of Gangtok District under Territorial Constituency and Gram Panchayat Unit,and as announced by the State Election Commission vide Notification No. 477/SEC/2022, a total of 14 candidates have filed their nominations at the office of the District Collector, Sichey, Gangtok on the second day.

The nomination filing process is facilitated by five different teams led by respective officers. Ragul K, IAS, DC, East, is the Returning Officer of the Territorial Constituency.Tushar Nikhare, ADC, Gangtok, is the Assistant Returning Officer of the Nandok Saramsa Block. Hemant Rai, ADC, Hq, is the Assistant Returning Officer of the Martam Block Radha Pradhan, ADC, Development, Gangtok, is the Assistant Returning Officer of the Rakdong Tintek Block. Robin Pd Sewa, SDM, Gangtok Hq, is the Assistant Returning Officer of the Ranka Block. Tshering Bhutia, SDM, Gangtok, is the Assistant Returning Officer of the Khamdong Block.

The following candidates have filed the nomination for the Territorial Constituency in the office chamber of Ragul K, DC, East, the Returning Officer of the Territorial Constituency.

1. Sonam Tshering Bhutia ST Category Gangtok, 10 Rey Rumtek TC

2. Yangchen Donka Lachungpa ST Category Gangtok, 14- Kyongnosla TC

The following candidates have filed the nomination for the Gram Panchayat Unit in the office chamber of Tushar Nikhare, ADC, Assistant Returning Officer.

1. Milan Sherpa ST Category 5 Kyongnosla, Gram Panchayat

2. Sonam Lhamu ST Category 22 Kyongnosla 2, 5th Mile Panchayat Ward

3. Nim Tempa Sherpa ST Category 22 Kyongnosla 3, 7th Mile Panchayat Ward

4. Sonam Topgay Bhutia ST Category 22 Kyongnosla 4, Karponang Ward

The following candidates have filed the nomination for the Gram Panchayat Unit in the Chamber of Hemant Rai, ADC, Hq, Assistant Returning Office.

1. Dawa Namgyal Shenga ST Category 10 Byeng Phegyong, 01-Zingla Masha Ward

2. Amber Bdr. Chettri OBC State 10 Martam Nazitam, 06- Nazitam Ward

3. Alina Darjee SC Category 10 Martam Nazitam, 04- Martam Ward

The following candidate has filed the nomination for the Gram Panchayat Unit in the office chamber of Smt Radha Pradhan, ADC, Development, Gangtok, Assistant Returning Officer.

1. Tilak Sharma OBC State 1 Radong Tintek, 2- Dikchu Jang Ward

The following candidates have filed the nomination for the Gram Panchayat Unit in the office chamber of Robin Pd Sewa, SDM, Gangtok, Assistant Returning Officer.

1. Tara Bhandari OBC State 14 Rawtey Rumtek 2- Rawtey Ward

2. Bipana Sharma OBC State 14 Rawtey Rumtek 3- Neopaneygoan Ward
3. Krishna Bdr Dahal OBC State 17 Luing Perbing 1- Upperb Luing Ward

The following candidate has filed the nomination for the Gram Panchayat Unit in the office Chamber of Tshering Bhutia, SDM, Gangtok, Assistant Returning Officer.

1. Laden Bhutia ST Women 8 Sirwani, 3 Namgeythang Ward

The nomination process was carried out between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm.
