Man killed in Kaluk after argument over extra marital affair

Birkha Bahadur Rai (40) accused of murder of one Bishnu Prasad Bhujel (48) has been arrested by Soreng District Police

As per the police report, “On February 6 at 10:00 hours a written FIR was received at Kaluk P.S. from Purna Bahadur Bhujel, brother of the deceased stating that on February 5 around 20:00 hours his brother Bishnu Prasad Bhujel (48) resident of Lower Tadong (Kaluk) was murdered using Axe (BANCHARO). He was hit by axe on his left temple (flat part between the forehead & the ear) inside the house of deceased located at Lower Tadong by the accused Birkha Bahadur Rai (40) of the same village.”

In the process of investigation Soreng District Police initiated a search operation and successfully arrested the accused Birkha Bahadur Rai who was the permanent resident of Chakung but was temporary residing at Lower Tadong of Kaluk. The murder weapon was also recovered from the nearby forest.

As per the police report the accused had visited the house of the deceased and indulged in heated argument over an extra marital affair of the deceased’s wife with the accused person ensuing into a dreaded physical fight between them.

The accused person hit the deceased by an Axe on his left temple. As a result, the deceased succumbed to his injuries.

The body of the deseased has been taken to STNM Hospital Sochaygang for medico legal autopsy and the accused Birkha Bahadur Rai is under police custody and has been booked U/S 302 of IPC.
