Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan shot; receives bullet injury after shots fired at rally

The unidentified gunman open fire at a protest march in Pakistan today, injuring Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan’s truck with a container mounted on it, was shot at “six times”, as per his Aide, in Pakistan’s Punjab province.


Imran Khan received a blow to the right leg. He was moved by police into a bulletproof truck from the container he was riding in during the attack.

During the assault, Senator Faisal Javed Khan also sustained injuries.

One of the gunmen has been arrested and as per AFP, one suspected of assaulting Pakistan’s former prime minister has been shot and killed.

The former prime minister is receiving treatment and is safe, the local media reported.
