8 day Painting Workshop and Pavilion renovation program by NEZCC Dimapur concludes

The 8-day Painting Workshop and Pavilion renovation program by NEZCC Dimapur, Ministry of Culture, Government of India was started on October 7 2021and was completed by October 14 2021 at the auditorium of Shilpgram.

In the presence of Nezcc officials and artists at the event, V. Phesao, Officer In- Charge of Nezcc, Guwhati distributed souvenirs and certificates to the artists and thanked all the artists for their contribution and support. He said that” sometimes we can´t organize well but are trying to give our best”But the event was very fruitful and a successful one. In this workshop Deepa Rai (Sikkim), Kaushik Dev (Tripura) recited poems, Harka Mangar (Sikkim) and Y.Rahul Singh and Felix Chungkham (Manipur) performed the song, Miron Mog (Tripura) performed the folk dance while the official Phesaw made the event even more dignified by performing the Naga folk song. Deepa Rai from Sikkim, T. Yanger Ozukum from Nagaland, H. Debabarata Singh from Manipur and Kaushik Dev from Tripura spoke on behalf of the artists from each North-East state.

Prajal Deka and Accounts Officer Ashiom Devenath of NEZCC also spoke on the occasion while Office In charge Gaurav Lahon, conducted all the closing ceremony. After the renovation pavillion all artists created new paintings on the wall.

The Sikkimese artists has especially made the proud traditional houses of Sikkim’s three community Bhutia, Lepcha, Nepali and Sikkim´s pride Mt. Kanchenjunga.- Oviya Art Circle, Sikkim
