A two-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP), organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) and the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Gangtok, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in coordination with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Ministry of Home Affairs, Sector Headquarters (SHQ), Gangtok, commenced today in Gangtok.
The ICOP, themed “Viksit Bharat @2047”, includes several important subjects such as Sardar Patel @150 and National Unity, 150 Years of Vande Mataram, and Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment). The programme is part of a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at bridging the gap between the government and citizens, thereby realising the message of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”, which will help lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh of ITBP Sector Headquarters, Gangtok, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The Commandant of SHQ Gangtok, Shri Anil Kumar, Deputy Director, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Shri Mangal Jakhad, and retired senior newsreader of Akashvani Gangtok, Smt. Usha Sharma, were present as Special Guests.
