Sikkim Police acting upon the FIR filed by Sikkim Government, on June 6, 2025, apprehended two individuals under Sections 152, 196(1), and 336(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
The first accused, Bikram Adi Rai (42) resident of Sonada, Darjeeling, was arrested in Darjeeling. The operation was led by PI Sun Tshering, ASI Wangyal Bhutia, and NK Sonam Bhutia, with the assistance of Darjeeling Sadar Police Station personnel.
Following this, police also arrested Subash Mani Singh(49), resident of Relli Road, Kalimpong. The arrest was carried out at Singh’s residence in Kalimpong by SI Tamanraj Gurung, NK Karma Thinley, and NK Chandra Lal Chettri, with support from Kalimpong Police Station personnel.
Both individuals are currently in police custody and further investigations are underway.
