A National Level Virtual External Assessment under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) was successfully conducted today at HWC-SHC West Pendam, under HWC-PHC Rangpo.

The assessment was carried out by esteemed NQAS external assessors Dr. Chandan Sharma and Dr. Bimlesh Kumar, who evaluated the centre on 12 service delivery packages across the 8 areas of concern checklist.

During the process, the assessors conducted a virtual walkthrough of the facility, reviewed records, and interacted with patient groups to assess service quality and satisfaction.

The program received active support from DRCHO (East), Dr. Solomit Lepcha; Dr. Karma Palden Lepcha(HWC-PHC Rangpo); DQC Mrs. Prasansamani Ruth Rai; CHO; LHV; BPM; Health Educator; X-ray Technician; and OA from HWC-PHC Rangpo.

This external evaluation is not merely a routine exercise but a valuable opportunity to learn, improve, and set new benchmarks for quality health services. Such initiatives inspire and motivate staff to deliver people-centered, equitable, and accountable care, aligned with the vision of Ayushman Bharat.

The successful conduct of this assessment highlights that HWC-SHC West Pendam is steadily progressing towards excellence, ensuring that every citizen has access to affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare at the grassroots level.
