Namchi Yuva Utsav 22 held at Kishan Market

A day long District Level Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) 2022 was held at the Kishan Market, Namchi, on October 14. The program was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Namchi, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports GoI, in coordination with District Administration Namchi.

The main objective of the programme is to celebrate the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” in the spirit of Yuva Shakti and to form a fraternity of young artists, writers, photographers and orators of the country under the mentorship of experts. MP Shri Indra Hang Subba graced the event as the Chief Guest while, MLA, Rajkumari Thapa was the Guest of Honour. Among the guests attending the programme were Tilak Basnet, MEO, JD Sports, JD HRDD, Vice Chancellor Alpine University, SDPO Namchi, Principal, Loyola College, Director SIRD.

The day’s programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest accompanied by the other dignitaries.Resource Persons for the day were Bishal Mukhia, Director SIRD, Avinam Mangar, Sangita Dahal, Anjali Jogi and Sanjay Rai, VOICE.

Young Writers Camp-Poem, Young Artists Camp-Painting, Mobile Photography, Declamation Contest and Cultural fest were among the competition which held during the daylong programme. After the competition, Certificates along with Prizes were distributed among the winners of all the contests.In brief address by the Chief Guest and Special guest of the day thanked the Nehru Yuva Kendra for organizing the event and creating a platform for young people. He then mentioned that India will reach the centenary of its independence in the year 2047, therefore to meet the target of India at 2047 the youngsters have to take the responsibility of carrying the Nation forward, he added.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Bhim Subba, National Youth Volunteer.
