Chief Electoral Officer conducts comprehensive state-level training programme for Assistant Level Master Trainers

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Sikkim conducted a comprehensive state-level training programme for Assistant Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) from all districts on 8th July 2025. 

The session was chaired by the Additional Chief Electoral Officer and attended by the District Collector-cum-District Election Officer (DEO), Soreng, and Joint Director (IT).

The primary objective of the training was to equip ALMTs with the necessary knowledge, tools, and methodologies to conduct effective and standardized training

sessions at the grassroots level in preparation for upcoming electoral activities.

The training featured expert-led sessions delivered by designated Resource Persons.

Shri Dhiraj Subedi, District Election Officer, Soreng, and State Level Master Trainer,

conducted Session 1 on Legal Provisions related to electoral processes, offering

participants a thorough understanding of the statutory framework governing elections.

The subsequent sessions were led by Shri Zangpo Gyaltsen, Joint Director (IT) and

National Level Master Trainer, who provided in-depth insights into the technical and

operational aspects of the electoral process, including claim and objection handling, role-play-based form filling, and the effective use of the BLO App.

The structured training framework covered the following key modules:

• Session 1: Legal Provisions related to electoral processes

• Session 2: Processing of Claims and Objections

• Session 3: Role Play and Form Filling

• Session 4: BLO App – Usage and Demonstration

• Assessment & Certification of ALMTs

The training concluded with an assessment and certification process for all participating

ALMTs. This marked a significant step toward ensuring well-prepared Human Resources for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections in Sikkim.
