63rd board meeting of SICUN held at Assam Linzay

The meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble Chairman of SICUN, Dr. Mangal Jit Rai and attended by members, including Vice-Chairman Mr. P. P. Sharma, Board of Directors of SICUN, Ms. Kesang Deki Barfungpa, Chief General Manager of Sikkim Milk Union, Mr. P. K. Chhetri, Joint Director of the Finance Department, Mr. Premjit Rai, Assistant Manager of SIMFED, Mr. Phadung Bhutia, Chief Executive Officer of SICUN, and Mrs. Indira Sharma, Executive Officer of SICUN.

The meeting discussed and resolved several important agenda items, including Confirmation of the Minutes of the 62nd Board Meeting, Review of the Action Taken Report on the Minutes of the 62nd Board Meeting and the 1st Special Board Meeting, Presentation of Achievement and Activity Reports from the following five divisions: Training and Education, Cooperative Development, Hostel, Social Media & Business; Consideration and approval for the amendment of Bye-Laws to expand the organization from 4 districts to 6 districts; Consideration and approval of the date for the Annual General Body Meeting;Consideration and approval of the date for the appointment of an Auditor; Consideration and approval for the creation of the post of Accounts Clerk; Consideration and approval for fuel provision for the Executive Officer’s official vehicle and attached driver from SICUN; Consideration and approval for the enhancement of sitting allowances for Board Members.

Among the items discussed, a significant resolution was reached regarding the transfer of certain portions of SICUN to Sikkim National Law University (SNLU). The meeting considered and approved the following resolutions:

The meeting concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks delivered by EO of SICUN.
