The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will commence across Sikkim from February 17 ( Today)
A total of 12,547 students from both government and private schools will be appearing for the examinations at 36 designated centres across the state.
According to official figures:
• Class 10: 6,571 students
• Class 12: 5,976 students
The examinations will cover students from 247 schools (Class 10) and 111 schools (Class 12) across Sikkim.
For comparison, during the 2025 CBSE board examinations, a total of 12,297 students appeared from the state, including:
• 5,806 Class 10 students
• 6,491 Class 12 students
Authorities have confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examinations. Education officials have urged students to remain calm, reach their respective centres on time, and strictly adhere to examination guidelines.
With thousands of students set to take this crucial academic step, the state administration and school authorities have extended their best wishes to all candidates appearing for the CBSE 2026 board examinations.
