Singling Sporting beat Brothers United 4-0

Namchi, 15th February, 2023: In the second matches of both the teams in the ongoing Sikkim Premier League, Singling Sporting Club defeated Brothers United FC with four goals to nil at Bhaichung Stadium.

Singling Sporting Club played their first match on February 11 and only after three days of rest showed their victory performance today against Brothers United FC who played their first match on February 08.



After having a tie with two goals each against Siniolchu FC on February 11, Singling Sporting Club was able to score four goals today, whereas, Brothers United FC that lost its last match against Siniolchu FC on February 08 with one goal to nil, Brothers United FC made their scores weaker as compared to its opponent teams in their second match only.
During the match, the nose injury of the striker of Singling Sporting Club, Kancha Jr, jersey no. 25 was met when colliding with the goal keeper of Brothers United FC, Arman Tamang, jersey no. 01, who hurt his knee. Both the players had to be taken to NDH for the medical attention during the match, their managers have said that no major effect occured on the players from the injury.


The veteran players from Sikkim too were felicitated by SPL during the event, among whom, one veteran football player of Yangang, Thupden Bhutia, a star player from 1960s, have said that SPL have indeed brought a major leap in football development in Sikkim, while stating that the present government have equipped the state with many facilities for sports which the present day sports enthusiasts must grab the opportunity.

Veteran football player Thupden Bhutia, have said that they will participate in numerous matches organized by SPL, and will give a lot of suggestions from veteran football players group to fdpl.


In today’s, match, John Tshering Lepcha, jersey no. 14, of Brothers United FC received ‘Emerging Player’ prize, and Adarsh Tamang, jersey no. 15, of Singling Sporting Club received trophy and cash prize for achieving the title of the ‘Hero of the Match’, from SPL.
The next match of SPL, in Bhaichung Stadium, is going to be held between Siniolchu FC versus Thunderbolt North United, on February 18, from 1:30pm.
