Sikkimey Nagarik Samaj appreciates the effective consideration of the State Government in reopening the schools. It will certainly help the students studying in far flung remote areas of Sikkim who were devoid of online classes due to poor connectivity and enable the students to better prepare for the ensuing Board Exams. Sikkimey Nagarik Samaj will always appreciate the good initiatives of State Government.

In addition, we urge the State Government to take necessary disciplinary action against Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department for his carelessness and incompetence at earliest to regain the trust of students, teachers, parents and general Sikkimese people towards Education Department.

We further take this opportunity to apprise the Government of Sikkim to immediately withdraw the illegal notification of 2018, which is being misused to transfer landed property of original Sikkimese people to non Sikkim Subject and Non COI holders.

The State Government has been promising the public that they will abstain themselves from further dilution of old laws but such negligence by State authorities in land registration has unnecessarily created a sense of uneasy atmosphere amongst Sikkimese people.
