Sikkim Olympic Association see off the Sikkim Contingent participating in the 2nd North East Olympic Games; Logo and kits released

The Sikkim Olympic Association organised programme to see off the Sikkim Contingent participating in the 2nd North East Olympic Games ring held in Meghalaya from 10-16 November 2022.

The contingent was seen off here at SNT Complex ,Gangtok. With the total of 228 contingent consisting of 197 athletes (103 males and 94 females) and 31 officials is led by Chef De Mission Mr Bidhan Ballav Subba. Sikkim is participating in 14 sports disciplines.

Minister for Agriculture,Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Information Technology LN Sharma in his address conveyed the best wishes on behalf of Chief Minister PS Tamang.

He said that this was historic moment as largest contingent was participating and carrying message of Sikkim Organic to the North East and the country.

The Track suits and shirts with Sikkim Organic logo was also released in the function. Kuber Bhandari, President of the Sikkim Olympic Association announced the cash awards for medal winners in the games :
(a)For teams football and basketball , Rs. 40,000/-,Rs. 30000/- and Rs.20000/-
(b) For individual games Rs.15000/-,Rs.10000/-and Rs.5000/-; for Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively.

The programme ended by flag off by Sharma.
