Gangtok, June 5 (IPR): The second day of Sikkim Design Week 2025 saw a programme featuring demonstration of Claywork for school students.
The activity has the objective to inculcate elements of creaitvity and entrepreneurship within students for them to pursue clayworker as profession in the near future.
The activity was organised by Studio Maato led by its founder Ms Reena Rai wherein she expounded Handbuilding techniques creating clay models using various clay working tools and Wheel throwing technique to the students.
On the sidelines, a Crochet training session was taking place alongside the Claywork event wherein the students were instructed in crochet making by Founder Magic.Crochets Ms Anita Pradhan.
Sikkim Design Week 2025 is a four day long event featuring a platform for local artisans, MSMEs, startups and entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and innovation to lead Sikkim towards sustainable development.
