In a significant development for Sikkim’s political landscape, the State BJP President, DR Thapa, confirmed today that several prominent names from Sikkim politics would be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The official announcement of their inclusion in the party will take place during a grand function scheduled for June 18 in Namchi, located in South Sikkim.
The event, to be held at the Kisan Market, will witness the presence of the BJP’s National President, JP Nadda, who will address the party workers and supporters.
The function is expected to draw a large gathering of enthusiastic attendees eager to witness the political shift.
When asked about the specific names of the political figures joining the BJP, DR Thapa mentioned that the details would be made public on the same day of the event, adding an air of anticipation and curiosity among the public.
Thapa also revealed that the National President, JP Nadda, would arrive at the Namchi helipad at approximately 11 am. Following his address to the gathering, Nadda is scheduled to proceed to other North Eastern states as part of his ongoing engagements.
