Namchi, June 9 (IPR): As part of commemorating 50 years of statehood, a mass cleanliness drive was conducted under the direction of Chief Minister of Sikkim, Mr Prem Singh Tamang.
The initiative, spearheaded by Urban Development Department (UDD) Namchi, aimed at promoting civic responsibility and environmental awareness among citizens.
The drive covered areas from Kishan Market to Kamakhya Petrol Pump Tharpu, including the premises of District Administrative Centre (DAC), Namchi.
UDD Namchi in coordination with local stakeholders, actively participated in the cleanliness efforts, ensuring thorough sanitation and waste disposal across the designated locations.
The cleanliness drive saw participation from Deputy Director Mr Santa Kumar Rai, BO Namchi Ms Pratima Subba, staff from UDD and NMC, among others.
