Rangpo Police Station has registered a case of theft against an unknown person following a complaint lodged by Rupa Devi Pradhan of Duga Deorali, Ward No. 004.
According to the complaint, household articles including 19 bronze plates valued at approximately ₹35,000 and one copper bowl worth around ₹15,000 were reported missing from her residence on the morning of January 5, 2026. The theft is suspected to have occurred during the night of January 4.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on January 7, 2026. The matter has been endorsed to ASI Ganesh Gurung for further investigation. Police have initiated necessary inquiries to trace the accused and recover the stolen items.
