On May 18, 40 years old father informed that his 13 years old minor daughter was missing since morning of May 18. Later minor was found at riverside by her brother and was brought to police station.
Thereafter, upon counseling with the 13 years old minor, she revealed that she has been subjected to sexually assault by her father on several occasions for past one year.
“During counselling at PS, the minor child has revealed that she has been subjected to sexually assault by her father on several occasions for past one year and same has also been deposed before the medical officer too” reads the police report
Following to which a case was registered against 40 years old father under section 6 of POCSO Act of 2012.
The accused has been taken into custody and the minor has been handed over to Childline Centre for shelter and counseling
