Sumant Kumar, resident of Gopalganj, Bihar was arrested on November 2nd 2022 by Sikkim Police in Delhi.
The alleged had been staging a dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. He also had posted grievances on his facebook page which contained offensive and brutual insults to the state Sikkim, the Sikkimese people, the Sikkimese traditions and culture, furthermore he also challenged the Article 371F of the Indian Constitution. Further investigation is at process and necessary action will be taken as soon as possible.
The police are yet to publicly address the arrest and the circumstances involved in it, and per unofficial sources a public address is soon forthcoming.
