Adventure tourism prospects at Dojok Village in Yangang, experts conducts technical survay

Under the direction of the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, and under the guidance of Shri Karma Subba, OSD to HCM (Political Affairs), a joint inspection was carried out today, June 16, at Dojok village under 15-Rangang Yangang Constituency to assess the feasibility and conduct a technical survey for adventure tourism in the region.

The inspection team comprised Shri Kaji Sherpa Joint Director-cum-Principal, IHCAE, Tourism Department, Government of Sikkim, Shri Manoj Kumar Chettri Deputy Director, Tourism Department, Shri Yapchung Tsh Bhutia Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Rabong-Sangmoo TC, Smt. Dil Maya Rai Hon’ble Panchayat of Dojok, Shri Bidhan Sharma, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Tourism Department, Shri Tej Narayan Choudhary Trail Bridge Engineer, the Adventure Team from the Last Resorts Nepal, and local residents.

The technical experts and adventure athletes from Nepal acknowledged the immense potential of the area for adventure tourism. They expressed confidence that the development of this sector would not only boost local tourism but also create significant employment opportunities for the youth of the region.
