A 90 years old, elderly woman has been sexually assaulted by her neighbour in a village in West Sikkim.
The accused man, Chenga Tshering Bhutia is absconding.
A police complaint has been lodged at Gyalshing police station stating that the son of a woman heard his mother PB screaming out of pain.
Thereafter, to see what had happened, he went inside the house and, to his utter surprise, he saw one Chenga Tshering Bhutia, a resident of the same village, sexually assaulting his mother on the floor.
Witnessing the same, he slapped the alleged person, who reportedly fled away from the house.
The ailing victim was alone in the house at the particular time of the incident.
She has been bedridden for many years. The Police are looking out for the absconding accused and a case under IPC sections 376 ( Rape) has been lodged against the perpetrator.
