Wonder IX’s debut mixtape ‘Murk ep’ speaks about identity, validation and relationship


A young Sikkimese rapper Sunil Chettri aka Wonder IX has released his new mixtape ‘Murk ep’ on an online music platform Audiomack on April 12. Sunil is 21 years old and from Gangtok, East Sikkim. Currently he is pursuing his graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism at Namchi Government College.

He started rapping from his early age of 13 and is passionately pursuing his music since then.

Sunil Chettri’s Murk ep is his debut mixtape which upholds 5 tracks, out of which two are poems. “The mixtape is an expression of the thirst of having an identity, validation of dreams and broken relationship” narrated Sunil. “Murk ep reflects a gloomy and shady vibes of life and I have made it possible to make and release it after mastering my art and skillz for almost 7 years” he added. He further stated, that his debut mixtape is a result of a constant hardwork and practice and has been possible with the immense support from many individuals for which Sunil heartily acknowledged during the conversation with Sikkim Chronicle.

The mixtape is produced by Dawa Tamang (daThrob Prod) from Namchi who is pursuing his B.Tech in Himachal Pradesh. The tape also features Alisha Rana who is a singer from Kitam, south Sikkim.

Sunil expresses his deepest gratitude towards his parents and his friends, Bhannu Chetttri, Bishal Subba, Nanda Kishore Ram, Rajesh Roka, Ajay Tamang, and Sahil Tamang for the support.
