Sikkim Band ‘Roll Heads’ becomes 2nd runner up at 1st North East Multi Media Campaign, Kohima


The winner of Red Fest III, Multi Media Campaign 2018-2019, Sikkim band ‘Roll Heads’ represented Sikkim State AIDS Control Society at the 1st North East Multi Media Campaign held at Kohima on February 18. The band bagged the 2nd runners up title and a cash prize of Rs. 50000/-

The band from Manipur,The Wishes and Luli Yeptho & the band from Nagaland were the Winner and the 1st runners up respectively. They bagged a prize of Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 70,000 respectively.

The event hosted by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society under the theme ‘North East United against HIV/AIDS’ is the first North East mega event organized by National AIDS Control Organization with an aim to create awareness & deliberate on the issues of HIV & AIDS.
The event was attended by S.Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland as the Chief Guest along with Major General Pradeep Nair, YSM, Inspector General, HQ, IGAR (N) and Dr Naresh Goel, Deputy Director General, NACO as special guests.
The colorful parade marked by Assam Rifles, NCC, Bharat Scouts & Guides, State AIDS Control Societies and the 16 tribes of Nagaland marked the beginning of the Mega event.

The event also had Alobo Naga, Tetseo Sisters and Mr Nise Meruno as guests artists.
The Sikkim Contingent was led by Lubhana Rai, Assistant Director/ IEC and Phoor Tshering Lepcha, Assistant Director/Youth of Sikkim State AIDS Control Society.

The judges for the event were Alobo Naga, Dr Naresh Goel, DDG NACO and Guru Rewben Mashangva.
