Fourth day of Kanchendzonga Adventure Tourism Meet concludes with Sinalchu FC taking home the trophy
Pelling, December 28: The fourth day of the 1st Kanchendzonga Adventure Tourism Meet concluded today wherein the chief guest for the day was Minister of the Forest Department, Karma Loday.
The main attraction of the day was the semi-final round of the national paragliding accuracy Olympic trials and rock climbing course conducted by the Chemchey rock climbing institute.
Karma Loday during his press address said, "Adventure tourism is one of the most important tourism sectors in our state, due to our natural terrain and this sector also attracts mass tourists by which the state economy also is boosted. The youth should come forward to participate and explore adventure tourism".
The day concluded with football finals played between Sinalchu football club Tekjuk and WSC Yangthang wherein the match was won by Sinalchu Football club in penalties.
The winner was awarded a cash prize of Rs 60,000 by the Pelling Tourism Development Association. Similarly, the runners up were presented with Rs 40,000 as a cash prize.
