First direct flight from Delhi to Pakyong landed at Pakyong's Greenfield Airport today
Gangtok, January 23: The first direct flight from Delhi to Pakyong via Spicejet landed at Greenfield Airport today. The inauguration program was attended by Health Minister MK Sharma as the Chief Guest and Rhenock MLA Bishnu Khatiwada as the Guest of Honour.
Earlier, Spicejet used to operate flights from Kolkata to Pakyong but due to poor visibility, the service was suspended. Flight to Pakyong
SG2980 took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal-3, New Delhi at 9:45 am and landed safely in Greenfield Airport, Pakyong at 12:05 pm.
The flight that did the first safe service was Spicejet private Q-400 Bombardier. The flight had 57 inbound passengers from Delhi to Pakyong along with DGCA officials and 27 passengers from Pakyong to Delhi travelling today.
