Namchi, 13th June (IPR): The Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated Sri Sri Shidhi Devi Mandir at Adarshgoan, today. Present amongst others was the spouse of the Chief Minister Krishna Rai, Speaker (SLA) L. B. Das, Area MLA Bedu Singh Panth, Minister for Buildings and Housing Department Sanjit Kharel, Advisors, Chairpersons, Officials, Public and devotees at large.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister congratulated the people of the Adarshgoan on getting the state-of-art Sri Sri Shidhi Devi Mandir in their locality.
He also termed this inauguration ceremony a historical one as the construction of this mandir was completed in a short period. He added that the establishment of this mandir will also bring about numerous auspicious opportunities for the well-being of the area.
The Chief Ministed emphasized that the State Government has completed the construction of the various pilgrimage sites in the state such as Thakurbari Temple and the most recent one being Paruhang Sapten Mangkhim cum International Kirat Rai Linguistic and Cultural Research Centre. He added that these sites also bring about diverse visitors and exhorted the local populace to keep these places immaculate and pure. He also underlined that a park for recreational activities and a parking yard will also be set up at Adarshgoan provided the land is available and an extension of Singtam Bazaar, if feasible, will also be looked into by the State Government at the earliest. He further informed that the creation of a Sub-Division under Namthang-Rateypani Constituency will also be instituted shortly.
The Chief Minister further spoke in detail about various sectors such as health, education and many more in which the State Government has put enormous efforts in fortifying it so that it can be holistically advantageous for all sections of the society. He also highlighted about COVID-19 and said that this disease has not yet been eradicated and added that precautions should be maintained by all. With regards to COVID-19, he spoke about the multitudinous development that the State Government has brought forward, particularly in building a resilient health division. He also reiterated about the upcoming 300 bedded Singtam District Hospital and catalogued how its service is going to help the public and patients alike as he said that the healthy future of the citizens is one of the priority areas of the State Government.
Minister cum Area MLA Bedu Singh Panth lauded the effort of the State Government for completing the mandir at a stipulated time. He also suggested including some of the places of the constituency in municipal wards for civic administration and other services opportunities. The Minister also spoke about various other issues faced in Adarshgoan and further updated regarding the status of most of the developmental projects, which are being implemented in the area as well.
During the course of the program, various details regarding the construction of the mandir were elucidated in detail by President Sri Sri Shidhi Devi Mandir Committee Indra Bahadur Chettri. He also extended gratitude from the committee’s side towards the State Government for aiding in the construction of the mandir, which was long pending demand of the public.
The committee members of the mandir also felicitated the Chief Minister for his relentless work in uplifting the State and its citizens. The committee also honoured various individuals who gave their valuable time for beautifying the mandir.
The recently inaugurated Sri Sri Shidhi Devi Mandir at Adarshgoan includes Mandir Block, Mandir Hall, Multipurpose Hall including Office, Supporting Block, Gurujis Resident, Kitchen and Dining Hall, Toilet, Hawan Kund, Store Room, External Staircase Area, Pooja Room and other many more essential amenities.
