Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang's verified Facebook account hacked.
The official Facebook page of Sikkim's sixth chief minister Prem Singh Tamang was hacked on Saturday Evening February 27.
The page is used for posting government statements and information. The page is monitored by four peoples from the Chief Minister’s Office.
According to the report of East Mojo," about four people handle the Facebook page from the Chief Minister’s office. “It appears an admin’s account was hacked. Not through the page account, but a personal account was used to reach the page. We have lost posts from January and February, and the last post is from December 26. The only way to retrieve was to make a call to Facebook Headquarters, who helped us”, informed another source."
Tenzing Loden Lepcha Supridentent of Police, Cyber Cell, " The case has been registered under the IT Act and is under investigation, we also contacted the nodal officer for Facebook in India since then the page has been reinitiated".
